We are continually enhancing our standards of service and the security of the personal data we process for our clients.   2. Your personal data is processed to facilitate registration on the Portal, the provision of Services by the Controller, and for purposes arising from the legally justified interests pursued by the Controller. This specifically includes:
    1. Conducting statistical research,
    2. Handling complaints,
    3. Pursuing potential claims, 
  3. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data by the Controller for the aforementioned purposes is:
    1. Execution of the contract (in accordance with Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR),
    2. Legitimate interest of the Controller (in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR) – for service handling, pursuing and defense in case of mutual claims, including in the event of contract withdrawal, fraud prevention, and handling complaints;
    3. Consent to the processing of personal data (in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR) – in situations where consent is given for: promotion and marketing of products or services offered by the Controller, sending commercial information electronically, using telephonic end devices and automated calling systems for direct marketing purposes, 
    4. The recipients of your personal data, in accordance with applicable personal data protection laws, will primarily include: authorized employees and associates of the Controller assisting in the provision of the Service, or other entities when necessary for the realization of the aforementioned purposes, 
  4. The anticipated period for processing your personal data corresponds to the duration of the User’s registration on the Portal. Personal data is processed for the duration of the contract between the User and the Service Provider, and until the expiration of mutual claims arising from the contract. Consequently, your personal data may also be processed by entities outside the European Economic Area. An appropriate level of protection for your data, including through the application of suitable safeguards, is ensured by the participation of these entities in the EU-US Privacy Shield, established by the European Commission’s executive decision as a set of principles guaranteeing adequate protection of your privacy. 
  5. You have the right to access the contents of your data and the right to rectify, delete, limit processing, the right to data portability, the right to object, the right to withdraw consent to data processing at any time, without affecting the legality of processing based on consent before its withdrawal, 
  6. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation of 27 April 2016 (GDPR), 
  7. Providing your personal data is voluntary and a condition for registration on the Portal and the realization of the Service by the Service Provider, 
  8. In the event of additional consent by the User for the transmission of commercial information electronically, the Controller may send commercial information to the User as defined in the Act of 18 July 2002 on providing services by electronic means (consolidated text, Journal of Laws of 2017, item 1219), using electronic communication means, in particular by sending commercial information to the email address or mobile phone number provided by the User. 
  9. The Controller provides you with the possibility to change, modify, or delete your personal data through: clicking the appropriate link, email contact at info@langbay.eu, or by post to the previously mentioned address of the Controller’s office. 

Cookies 

  1. During the browsing of the website of the Internet Service, “cookies” are used – small text information stored on the User’s end device in connection with the use of the Internet Service. Their use aims to ensure the proper functioning of the Internet Service’s web pages.
  2. The “cookies” used by the Controller are safe for the User’s devices. In particular, it is not possible for viruses or other unwanted or malicious software to enter the User’s devices through this route. These files allow the identification of the software used by the Users and individually adjust the Internet Service to each User. “Cookies” usually contain the domain name they come from, their storage time on the device, and assigned value. 
  3. The Controller uses two types of “cookies”:
    1. Session cookies: are stored on the User’s device of the Internet Service and remain there until the end of the session of the given browser. The stored information is then permanently deleted from the memory of the User’s device of the Internet Service. The mechanism of session cookies does not allow for any personal data or any confidential information to be obtained from the User’s device of the Internet Service. 
    2. Permanent cookies: are stored on the User’s device of the Internet Service and remain there until they are deleted. Ending the session of a given browser or turning off the device does not delete them from the User’s device of the Internet Service. The mechanism of permanent cookies does not allow for any personal data or any confidential information to be obtained from the User’s device of the Internet Service. 
  4. The Controller uses “cookies” for the following purposes:
    • Configuration of the Internet Service;
    • Promoting the Internet Service through the social network Facebook.com, administered by Facebook Inc. based in the USA or Facebook Ireland based in Ireland. The privacy policy of Facebook is available at the following link: https://www.facebook.com/help/cookies/ 
  5. We recommend reading the privacy policies of the above-mentioned companies to understand the rules for using “cookies”. 
  6. “Cookies” may be used by advertising networks, especially the Google network, to display ads tailored to the way the User uses the Internet Service. To this end, information about the User’s navigation path or the time spent on a particular page may be stored.

  8. The User can independently and at any time change the settings regarding “cookies”, specifying the conditions of their storage and access to the User’s device by “cookies”. The User can change the settings referred to in the previous sentence using the settings of the web browser or through the configuration of the service. These settings can be changed in such a way as to block the automatic handling of “cookies” in the browser’s settings or to inform about their placement on the User’s device each time. We are aware that Google may transfer information to third parties if it is in accordance with the law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google.
